Greetings! My name is Caterine Luis and this is my philosophy of life. "I think life is a game and if you want to play you must follow its rules". I happened to find this quote from one of my favorite books, "Catcher in the Rye" by J.D. Salinger. I believe that the rules of life are a personal code for living a better, happier, more successful life. I plan to follow rules that will help me to achieve my goals.

During my eleventh and twelvth years of high school, I won several awards in the Visual Arts. In the spring of 2007, I competed in the 6th Annual New York City's High School Graphic Arts Competition. I won first place in the Desktop and Design section. My work is displayed on their website:

In the spring of 2008, I also competed in the New York City School Art League Medal and Scholarship Fund. I received the St. Gaudens Medal
for academic achievement in Visual Art. I received a scholarship for college and was honored at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. As a college student, I will be able to support myself as a freelance graphic designer since my works of art have been recognized by the Commercial and Fine Art community,

As a high school student, I also have participated in a Career Exploration program. So far, I have explored three careers; Law, Directing, and Advertising. Although I have enjoyed exploring these three fields, my passion is to become a pediatrician.

As a mother, I am very responsible. I am plan to further my education after I graduate from Chelsea Vocational High School because I want to secure a decent future for my family.
