My Philosphy

My name is Otisma. On November14, 1990, I was born in Brooklyn, NYat St. Mary’s hospital. I attended the Langston Hughes Elementary school, PS 233 and the Winthrop Intermediate school, 232. My grade and middle school years were really fun. Right now, I am attending Chelsea Vocational High school in Manhattan NY. I am taking a C.T.E courses at Soho Communciations Arts Academy where I study Graphic arts. I have taken courses in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Web design, The techniques that I learned are cool. I find my work ominous, outrageous creative, sentimental, crazy, dope, fun and abstract.

When I was in my sophmore year, my class had worked on a project with the non-profit organization "Art in General". We simply came up with an idea and created a movie where there were two worlds, the wealthy high-class world and the low-income low class world. We titled the video “RICH VS. POOR”. Their were two main characters. I played the wealthy high-class character and the low-class character, was played by my fellow classmate, Cesar Nino. We worked behind a blue screen the whole time and the movie was filmed by some of my other classmates, Gerald, Geraldine, Olivia, as well as Tara, our instructor.

It was really fun because the instructor just sat back and basically just let us just come up with our own concept and visualization of the project. She taught us the main, how to use the cameras and then just let us do our thing. We also shot part of the movie outside at a clothing store. There were a lot of metaphorical scenes as well as similarities in the movie. Even though there were two different classes of characters, they were very similar to each other. When we were all finished filming the movie, she showed us some techniques in her computer on how to edit the movie and replace parts of the scenes that were shot behind the blue screen with the visuals that we came up with in our sketches. While we were editing the movie along with the instructor, we all noticed that she was using the programs Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator and that taught us that maybe the big film Moviemakers use these programs to make their movies as well. When the movie was finally finished. We took a class trip to an art gallery where the Sophmore art school came to watch what was created by some of the students and the red carpet theme was a astonishing affect added to the gallery. Everyone was taking pictures and we all felt like celebrities. Then the cast and crewmembers better known as “Chicken Head Productions” all presented the sophmore class with the movie. Everyone was blown away when they seen how creative and talented we were and ended everything with a great big round of applause. The movie Rich vs. Poor was one of my best accomplishments and an experience that taught me how to act as well as film and edit a Movie. It is a memory that I will never forget.

I want to be wealthy from now and forever i want to be  well known throughout the world and in history. I want to have my own reality show or be on a reality show or a show where I have to compete because I think that that will also be a memorable and fun experience.
