Hi, my name is Jose Polanco, I am eighteen-years-old, I am a 2008 graduating senior from Chelsea High School. I was born and raised on the Lower East Side. I am fluent in Spanish and English.

I’m not your average person; I stick to my self most of the time. I’m not the type of person to open up to people real fast.

That said, I am a peer trainer at the Henry Street Settlement on the Lower East Side. I educate teenagers about AIDS and HIV. I have been working there since July, 2007 and I plan to continue.

After high school I plan on going to college to study the music industry. I am a graffiti artist. I express myself through grafitti.

In the Spring 07, I was one of the two students from the Soho Communications Arts Academy to be chosen for the NYCBOE Saturday High School Program for Graphic Art Careers at the New York City Art Directors Club.
