Hi! My name is Letoya Porter. My whole life, I lived in Harlem on the 125th street strip. When my house burned down, I attended P.S.175 on 135th street with my four brothers.Then I transfered to P.S. 30. I was Prom Queen in 8th grade and that was a special event for me.

Now, I attend the Soho Communications Arts Academy at
at Chelsea Vocational High School. I have taken CTE classes where I learned the following software: Microsoft Powerpoint, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illusttrator, Text Wrangler and Adobe Dreamweaver.

In my 11th grade CTE class, my class collaborated with
the non-profit association, "Art in General". Tara, my instructor, showed me how to set up a camera, shoot
and edit a video. At the end of the semester, our group's video was displayed at their gallery.

My passions are math and dancing, even though both can be sometimes hard as nails. My family and my passion for music have motivated me to finish school and accomplish other things in my life.

My personal philosophy is self awareness. I believe that an education can help you to achieve your goals. Learning new ideas can only expand your mind.

Now, I am in my last year of high school and will be graduating in June. After I graduate, I plan to go to college for my Bachelors degree in nursing and or accounting. Also, I want to model in my spare time. For right now, that’s all I see in my future.
